ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTOR
A recent Architecture graduate from the Lebanese American University, Youssef Itani has thoroughly worked on set designs over the years. In 2016, he worked alongside architect Bernard Mallat on Nagy Souraty’s set for Géoغraphia - the synapse. He then went on to design sets for student theatre productions and was part of set design teams of film productions. In 2019, he designed Line Itani’s scenography on both Ecdysis and Mother Flesh. He then art directed an independent short film shot in Lebanon in 2020. He is currently working as an editor for Lil Watan, a social media-based news platform, and volunteering as a photographer and architect with the NGO Nusaned to help with the aftermath of the Beirut blast.
